James Skinner, has been a business consultant for 34 years.
He is the founder of Franklin-Covey Japan and is known for popularizing The 7 Habits of Highly Effective PeopleĀ®. He is best known as a bestselling author with over 4 million copies sold and as an AI training expert in 46 countries around the world.

His career began at the U.S. Department of State, where he helped promote AI technology. and then to NEC, where he helped expand the automatic fingerprint identification system. He has been involved in the management of more than 40 companies worldwide, including running a web application development company in Singapore, serving as chairman of a 2 billion dollar hedge fund, and coaching major corporations and government organizations such as TDL, Ritz-Carlton, Toyota, IBM, the U.S. military, the State Department, and JR.
